Five bones for food and friendliness!
Hog Wild Catering & BBQWe almost drove by this awesome little place tucked in between houses on one of the main roads in East Berlin, but we are forever glad we turned around to stop there for lunch. The owners were super friendly and the food was incredible! Our pup was served a cold bowl of water and we all enjoyed their specialities, smoked pulled pork, hand cut fries, and fresh squeezed lemonade. All tables are outside, most with shade, and we felt very comfortable in this unique location. It’s definitely worth going out of your way to eat here if you are in the Gettysburg or York areas.
Ginger would rate this 10 bones!
Battlefield Bed & Breakfast InnWe stayed here with Ginger for two amazing nights, and even with a wedding event scheduled first that weekend, they treated us like their only guests! JD and all the staff were super friendly and definitely pup loving! We were also lucky to meet the owners and daughter who went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect! The two most important aspects, the bed and the breakfast, could not have been improved in any way. We even got breakfast served to our room so we could eat with Ginger (the only place pups aren’t allowed is in the dining room which isn’t surprising).
There are trails around the property, a huge dog park that we had all to ourselves, and plenty of places to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery. They do have several friendly cats who will approach you if they think your dog is also friendly, or avoid pups they aren’t sure about. We really learned a lot during their daily history chats given by local experts. Don’t miss this charming and relaxing experience if you are looking for some pampering for you and your pup.
Casual stop for tastings and snacks
Reid's Orchard & WineryWe stopped here for a wine tasting and tried their cider and artisan sampler tray as well. Live music started at 7pm so we stayed and enjoyed their covered outdoor seating with our pup, who was served cold water in a very fancy bowl.
Pup loving place!
The Gettysburger CompanyExcellent and super friendly service, delicious food, and a beautiful downtown location. Ice water was served to our pup immediately, followed by treats and an 8 ounce burger from their dog menu. We will eat here EVERY TIME we visit Gettysburg in the future.
Beautiful views of the Delaware river
Riverside Barr and GrillWe enjoyed a live musician and beautiful views from our table on a Friday night in August. Dog families are asked to sit at the tables just off the main deck but we were comfortable there and it wasn’t crowded. Ice water was immediately brought by our waitress (without asking) and everyone was friendly to our pup.
The pitcher of beer was ice cold as well as the frosted glasses they provided. Clams and marguerita were delicious
Wonderful surprise off the beaten path!
Mountain View Drive-InWe stopped here tonight for dinner with our pups. The outdoor patio area is huge, and offers plenty of tables with large umbrellas. We enjoyed delicious burgers and fries, and specialty ice cream for dessert. Their menu offered plenty of choices for dinner and desserts.
Our waitress was super friendly to us and our dogs. An amazing mini-golf course is on the property as well, so there is literally something for everyone.
We loved it here and will definitely be back soon!!
Amazing in all areas!
Old Oyster FactoryBeautiful location, great water views, dog friendly, and first rate seafood. The shaded deck is a great place to enjoy a meal. Water is provided for pups as well as lots of love and affection. We enjoyed delicious oysters, seafood combination, and calamari. This is a must-stop on Hilton head island!
Our favorite place so far!
Skull Creek BoathouseThis restaurant was the best place we have eaten so far during our vacation on the island. The outdoor seating area is amazing - attractive waterfront location with comfortable seating. Best seafood we’ve had - the combo platters were delicious. Water is provided for dogs. The staff was very puppy friendly and there were several other dogs as well. We highly recommend this fabulous place!
Fun place, excellent food, popular with pup families!
Bricks on BoundaryWe ate lunch here on Memorial Day as the town’s parade passed right by. Our food was delicious and the portions were huge (salad and burgers). Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Four other dogs were on the porch during part of the time we were there but we all had plenty of space. This was definitely a lucky choice for us and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and fun decor very much.
Great water views, great food, lots of puppy love!
Hudson's Seafood House on the DocksWe arrived without reservations and sat at the outdoor waterfront bar for lunch (it was raining and the bar was the driest spot). The bar staff was super friendly and pleasant. Our drinks were strong and delicious (BlackBerry mojitos). We enjoyed the fresh shrimp, scallops, clams, oysters, and fried green tomatoes. They treated our pup like a celebrity with fresh water and so much love💞. We will definitely visit here again!
Great location, great food!
Fishcamp on Broad CreekWe ate lunch here with our dog on a busy holiday weekend, but they had plenty of space for us. There was a live musician, and the food was delicious. They will bring water for your dog if you ask. We had the fried oysters, and fried calamari and pickles, and all of it was perfect. Our main meals were the tuna Poké bowl and the crabcake, and we agree the food was absolutely excellent.
Could not have been any better!
The Crazy CrabThis was the first place we ate upon arriving on Hilton head island, and it was the best experience we could have imagined! The hostess was so excited to meet our 9 month old puppy and immediately brought her a large bowl of water and ice cubes. The entire wait staff was super friendly and efficient, and everyone made a fuss over our fur baby.
The food was definitely top notch, served piping hot and delicious. We highly recommend the broiled seafood combination and calamari. Our table was right on the front of a lovely water/marsh view. It will be tough for us to find another restaurant that tops this one!
Great experience for our pup’s first hotel!
Best Western LumbertonThis hotel is literally right off Route 95, and walkable to Walmart, Panera, and lots of places. Our room was large, with the most comfy bed, and a large bathroom. We all slept great! There is a huge grassy area with poop bags and a trash can. The breakfast (6-9 am) had everything we could want, hot and cold, and great coffee. We will definitely stay here again!
