Pets in the Cabin
Unfortunately, pets are not permitted in the cabin on Emirates aircraft, except for falcons between Dubai and some destinations in Pakistan.
Pets in Checked Baggage
For itineraries that start in Dubai and travel to countries that allow animals to enter as excess baggage; falcons, cats, dogs and pet birds can be transported as checked baggage in the hold as long as the total journey time (including any transit time) is less than 17 hours, and all appropriate conditions are met. If the animal and carrier combined do not exceed 50 lbs (23 kg), the price for this service is $500. If the animal and carrier have a combined weight of 53 to 70 lbs (24 to 32kg), the fee is $650. If the animal and carrier weigh over 70 lbs (31 kg), the fee is $800.
Pets in Cargo
Emirates Pets will transport any pets who do not meet the criteria to travel as checked baggage on board.
Carrier Guidelines
For pets traveling as checked baggage, carriers must be secure and meet international safety requirements, including proper ventilation and a sturdy structure. For pets who do not exceed 50 lbs (23kg), the total dimensions of the carrier should not exceed 59 inches (150 cm); for pets over 53 lbs (24kg), the total dimensions can be between 59 inches (150cm) and 118 inches (300cm).
Reviews
- AnujJul 11, 2022Not great support for Pets travel
Filled out the form on their website and no one reached out and No response for 4 days. I then called them and they mentioned that They wont accept my pet as he is Husky / American bully mix. There is zero guidance on their website. Now we are stuck with our tickets booked 30 days ago and not being able to bring our dog.
