Entry Requirements
Complete the following entry requirements to travel to Austria with your pet:
- Pets (dogs, cats and ferrets) must be at least 7 months old in order to enter Austria.
- Pets traveling from Europe to Austria must have an EU Pet Passport.
- Pets must travel into these border crossing points, Vienna, Linz, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Graz-Thalerhof and Klagenfurt in order to enter Austria.
- Pets must be identified by an ISO-compliant microchip.
- Pets must be vaccinated against rabies more than 21 days before travel and after microchip is fitted.
- After the pet’s USDA Accredited Veterinarian has completed and signed the EU/UK Health Certificate it must be endorsed by your USDA APHIS Veterinary Services Endorsement Office.
- You will also need to fill out the owner declaration (attached).
Quarantine Information
Pets being transported into Austria are not required to be quarantined if they meet all the necessary requirements listed above.
