Entry Requirements
Complete the following entry requirements to travel to Romania with your pet:
- Pets traveling to the EU from elsewhere must be identifiable via microchip, up-to-date on rabies vaccinations that have been administered at least 21 days before travel, and accompanied by a health certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian in the country of origin. If traveling from the U.S., health certificates must be endorsed by a USDA Endorsement Office.
- Pets traveling within the EU must be accompanied by an up-to-date EU Pet Passport.
- For processing reasons, people traveling by air with a pet should enter Romania at Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport or Cluj Avram Iancu International Airport.
Quarantine Information
Pets traveling to Romania do not need to be quarantined if they meet all the necessary requirements listed above.
