Entry Requirements
Complete the following entry requirements to travel to Spain with your pet:
- Dogs, cats and ferrets must be identifiable via ISO microchip to gain entry into Spain.
- Pets must be vaccinated against rabies at least 21 days before travel and be accompanied by a rabies titer test if you are entering from a non-EU country. Animals must be at least 12 weeks old for vaccination to take place.
- If you are traveling from an EU country, you must obtain an EU Pet Passport with the owner, description of animal, marking, issue and rabies vaccination sections completed in full.
- If you are traveling from a non-EU country, you must provide a valid health certificate filled out by a licensed veterinarian with proof of vaccinations.
- Travelers are permitted to bring a maximum of 5 pets into Spain.
Quarantine Information
Pets traveling to Spain do not need to be quarantined if they meet all the necessary requirements listed above.
